Newsletter - July 2017

This is my first newsletter to friends and customers of McLaren Vale Lavender, inspired by my recent trip to Queensland, for the TALGA [The Australian Lavender Growers Association] Conference.

McLaren Vale Lavender won 2017 Best Product Award for our Insect Repellant Spritz  the 2nd time we have won this award, an achievement I am immensely proud of and wanted to share with you.

Its very chilly here in South Australia a time when the lavender plants are dormant for the next month or so. they look grey and miserable at the moment but I know their roots are resting and quietly forming new growth ready for when the soil starts to warm in August.

In the meantime we have the glory of Australian Wattles in full bloom.  Blobs of golden yellow in the bush garden always gladdens my heart and brings  that cheery colour to brighten the dull days of winter.

And speaking of winter, in the last week or so I have been using McLaren Vale Lavender Cold & Flu Balm on my toddler grandchildren to ease their congestion.  It’s a beeswax based chest balm that can be rubbed onto the upper respiratory area, containing eucalyptus, benzion, lemon myrtle and lavender essential oils.  Its safe and pleasant to use.

Take care of yourself this winter and remember Lavender & Wheat Healing Cushion  is a great source of comfort to ease those aches and pains, even cold feet.

Oh and whilst you snuggle up with the balm and heat pack why not dissolve a teaspoon of  Lavender Honey  into a glass of hot water, add a little lemon juice and sip – guaranteed to perk up the sprits and help ease a sore throat.

Warm regards
