Newsletter - December 2017

Greetings dear friends

Once the clocks go forward in October everything seems to come alive and the race is on to organize myself ready for Christmas and of course, the lavender season.  My lavender plants are now in bloom and their fragrance and colour never fails to remind me of why I’m in the lavender business.  Are you like me? I simply can’t pass a bush of lavender, be it down the road, or my own garden without grabbing a flower head, crushing it, and breathing in the fragrance.

A couple of visitors to the house last week left with a bunch of freshly cut lavender tied with a bow.  Their reaction was a reminder that lavender flowers are rarely available in a florist shop and unless it is grown in one’s own garden, the humble fresh lavender flower is rarely seen.  Bung it on the Christmas dining table, round the house, gift it to a friend and share the joy.  Of course if you are really handy a cute little fresh lavender place setting never fails to impress.

Every garden has room for at least one lavender bush.  Look for the English [angustifolia] or [intermedia] varieties.  These are the fragrant bushes that bloom through December and January.

The holiday season is for taking time out for yourself.  A time to indulge yourself a little, rest, pamper and to make time and space in your life for the natural world and things that inspire you.

This year I have been working on a re-branding exercise for EMULINT, the product which won the Best Product Award at the Australian Lavender Growers Association Conference.  EMULINT is a formula that combines the penetrating properties of Australian Emu oil with the healing and relaxing constituents of lavender, juniper, eucalyptus and wintergreen essential oils. See here for full details.

My gift to you this Christmas is a free sample of Emulint cream to try should you, or someone you care about, be suffering from painful, swollen, stiff joints, or injuries that cause muscular aches and inflammation.  Simply click here and provide your name and address and the sample will be posted out.

Thank you for your patronage this year.  I wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and a peaceful, safe, new year. 2018 begins a new adventure – always believe something wonderful is about to happen.

Kind regards

Christine
